NATURAL VIBRATIONS OF SHELLS IN A FLUID,

Abstract

The booklet examines the natural vibrations of shells in a liquid. It cites the theory of phenomenon and presents methods of calculating the frequencies of the vibrations of shells of various shape in finite and infinite compressible and incompressible liquids at various boundary conditions. To facilitate the calculations, the booklet includes tables and graphs. Theoretical results were checked experimentally in several models of reservoirs and pipes of various shapes whose study is of practical interest. The booklet is intended for researchers, engineers, and technicians working in the area of hydroelasticity. (Author)
