STATISTICAL INVESTIGATIONS OF THE RELIABILITY OF A READING AUTOMAT WITH OPTICAL CORRELATION (STATISTICHESKIE ISSLEDOVANIYA NADEZHNOSTI CHITAYUSHCHEGO AVTOMATA S OPTICHESKOI KORRELYATSIEI),

Abstract

Experimental evaluation of the reliability of character recognition may become very cumbersome in the case of low-error systems. Hence, an attempt is made to provide a simpler, based on mathematical statistics, method for determining reliability of automatic readers that use the correlation method of recognition.
