WOOD FINISHING: WATER-REPELLENT PRESERVATIVES.

Abstract

Homeowners can avoid many exterior wood finishing problems by treatment with a water-repellent preservative solution (WRP). This treatment guards against damage to the wood and paint caused by water and by decay and stain fungi (mildew). WRP treatment of wood is recommended both before painting and also as a natural finish for exterior wood. (Author)
