EXPERIMENTAL STRESS ANALYSIS ACTIVITIES IN SELECTED EUROPEAN LABORATORIES,

Abstract

The report has been written following a trip conducted by the author through several European countries. A list is given, for each of those countries, of many of the laboratories doing important experimental stress analysis work and of the people interested in this kind of work. The main features of these laboratories are pointed out and references to some of the recently published material are given. An attempt has also been made to abstract the main characteristics of the experimental stress analysis methods used in some of the countries visited. The report is the result of the author's experiences and cannot be considered as exhaustive, but it is believed it will be found useful by people interested in experimental stress analysis research, and by people planning visits to foreign laboratories.
