CONDITIONS CONTRIBUTING TO VARIABILITY IN PULSE VOLUME.

Abstract

The purpose of this report is to suggest some conditions which contribute to the variability of pulse volume (and conceivably other autonomic measures as well). Specifically, the influence of recording site (preferred vs. non-preferred hand), arousal conditions ('aroused' vs. 'relaxed'), and a personality dimension (introversion vs. extraversion) is discussed. The effects of these variables are illustrated by graphs. (Author)
