AIRBORNE SURVEYING OF THE GLOBAL FRAGMENT CONTAMINATION OF TERRITORIES IN THE GAMMA-RAY SPECTRUM (IZMERENIE S SAMOLETA GLOBALNOGO OSKOLOCHNOGO ZAGRYAZNENIYA TERRITORII PO SPEKTRUM GAMMA-LUCHEI),

Abstract

The atmosphere, the terrain and the natural water become radioactively contaminated after lengthy, atmospheric, nuclear testing. Radioactive products get into vegetation and living organisms and have a harmful biological effect on them. There is also danger from the external irradiation of organisms, which is occasioned by radioactive contamination of the natural environment. Information on the natural environment's contamination is necessary for solving diverse problems of agriculture, medicine and biology. (Author)
