DESCRIPTION OF A FOUR DEGREES OF FREEDOM, V/STOL AIRCRAFT, AIRBORNE SIMULATOR.

Abstract

A variable stability helicopter capable of altering its characteristics in the three rotational degrees of freedom as well as the heave or vertical degree of freedom was developed and utilized on a variety of V/STOL handling qualities research programs. The report describes the simulator systems and outlines its capabilities. (Author)
