CONSTRUCTION OF A TRIHEDRAL SIGNAL WITH RHOMBIC BRACING (POSTROIKA TREKHGRANNOGO SIGNALA S ROMBICHESKOI OBSHIVKOI),

Abstract

The paper is a description of the method used to construct a signal with rhombic bracing of the sides. Rhombic bracing of a signal significantly increases its rigidity, because of the shorter distance between convergence points on the main columns and between the nails on the horizontal cross-pieces. Two diagonals, reinforced by a cross-piece, create a convergence point, which eliminates vibrations of cross pieces and main columns. The nails on the main column are distributed more evenly. Rhombic bracing allows a decrease in the number of components and stages, thus reducing the weight of the signal. It also significantly weakens the wind pressure on the signal, especially where the inner pyramid is fastened. (Author)
