DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS FOR RELIABLE OPERATIONS OF ADD-ON AMPLIFIER AM-4306.

Abstract

The purpose of the report is to describe some causes of poor transistor reliability in RF amplifiers, in particular the AM-4306. The report will examine the AM-4306 as it was originally designed and describe its shortcomings as theorized by the investigator. Modifications made to the AM-4306 to correct these shortcomings will be described and the results of testing provided. The results of this testing will serve to prove the hypothesis as to the causes of transistor failure. (Author)
