DIRECTION-SENSITIVE DOPPLER RADAR DEMONSTRATION UNIT,

Abstract

A cw doppler field radar has been built. The portable unit, intended for demonstration purposes, can detect a man walking at a distance of over 300 ft. Since the radar is of the direction-sensitive type, it discriminates against clutter caused by vegetation moving back and forth with the wind. The system is described and some experimental results are given. (Author)
