THE SYNTHESIS OF CANDIDATE ANTI-RADIATION COMPOUNDS.

Abstract

Several possible routes to cysteamine-thiophosphate disulfides were studied. Methods which contained acids other than the thiophosphoric acids or used water as the solvent gave no isolatable unsymmetrical disulfides. However, the symmetrical disulfides which would result from the disproportionation of the unsymmetrical disulfides were isolated in some cases. Three, O,O-dialkyl-S-2-acetaminoethylmercapto phosphorodithioates were prepared by the action of O,O-dialkyl phosphorodithioic acids on 2-acetaminoethyl 2-acetaminoethane thiolsulfonate. The corresponding alkylthioperoxide diphosphorothionate were also formed.
