FIRE DEPARTMENT OPERATIONS ANALYSIS

Abstract

This is a final report on a study designed to evaluate public fire fighting operations. Information is developed on how fire fighting operations are performed under a variety of field conditions. The primary body of data consists of information extracted from reports on one hundred thirty-four (134) fires. Useful correlations between the parameters are presented. An application of these correlations to the fire suppression effort at the time of a nuclear emergency is presented.
