ON THE OBSERVABILITY OF LINEAR TIME-INVARIANT SYSTEMS WITH UNKNOWN INPUTS.

Abstract

The paper deals with the observation of linear time-invariant dynamical systems in the general case where some of the input functions are not known. By means of arguments based on the concepts of controlled and conditioned invariants, we find a convenient expression for the observability subspace, which subsumes the well-known expression for the case where the input functions are given.
