VOLUME AND BOUNDARY DIFFUSION OF TUNGSTEN IN MOLYBDENUM (OBEMNAYA I GRANICHNAYA DIFFUZIYA VOLFRAMA V MOLIBDENE),

Abstract

Two methods of determination of the volume diffusion coefficient of tungsten in molybdenum were used: shift of activity curve; autoradiographic method. Radioactive 185 tungsten was deposited on the electropolished surface of the specimens; after diffusional annealing, microlayers were removed from the activated surface. The distribution of tungsten was determined by autoradiograms, while the amounts were determined by counting radioactivity. (Author)
