THE AXISYMMETRIC PROBLEM OF A CIRCULAR CYLINDRICAL SHELL MADE OF MATERIAL WITH DIFFERENT STRENGTH IN TENSION AND COMPRESSION (OSESIMMETRICHNAYA ZADACHA KRUGOVOI TSILINDRICHESKOI OBOLOCHKI, IZGOTOVLENNOI IZ MATERIALA, RAZNOSOPROTIVLYAYUSHCHEGOSYA RASTYAZHENIYU I SZHATIYU),

Abstract

The stresses are analyzed in a semi-infinite circular cylindrical shell of constant thickness, made of isotropic material whose elasticity moduli in tension and compression are different. Uniformly distributed bending moments and shear forces act along the circumference of the face of the shell. The hypothesis of preservation of normals is applied, and it is assumed that the material of the shell obeys the generalized Hooke's law, but that the Poisson ratios are equal to zero. (Author)
