THE DEVELOPMENT OF A GENERAL METHODOLOGY OF ANALYSIS FROM CONSERVATION EQUATIONS,
Abstract
The purpose of the report is to present the contents of a paper that was given at the 3rd International Congress for Logic, Methodology and Philosophy of Science. This meeting was held at Amsterdam, Netherlands, on 25 August - 2 September 1967. The Congress was held under the auspices of the Division of Logic, Methodology and Philosophy of Science of the International Union of History and Philosophy of Science. Mass, momentum, and energy conservation equations (coupled with equations of state, kinetics, and thermodynamics) are used as a unit to solve many complex engineering problems. The paper assumes that these equations are representative of a more general methodology of analysis. The theory of knowledge resulting from this assumption is called the trism theory. (Author)
