DETERMINATION OF BREMSSTRAHLUNG DISTRIBUTION USING THE ABSORPTION METHOD,

Abstract

A complete procedure for using Greening's absorption method to determine the bremsstrahlung intensity distribution as a function of energy is presented. The fluorescent radiation from a tungsten anode is evaluated. The procedure is illustrated using exposure dose measurements from a 250 kV X-ray generator. A derivation of the essential mathematical expressions is given as an appendix. (Author)
