THERMOCHEMICAL STUDY OF INDIVIDUAL EXPLOSIVES AND THEIR MIXTURES,

Abstract

Using the example of cyclonite, the author determines the effect of explosion conditions on the measured thermal effect. The effect of loading density, diameter of charge, weight of charge and dispersion conditions of the explosion products are examined. Five types of bomb calorimeters are employed. The last part of the article examines the effect of additives to the explosive, in particular aluminum and water. (Author)
