SYNTAC DISPLAY SYSTEM OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE.

Abstract

This manual provides instructions for the operation and maintenance of the SYNTAC Photographic Projection Display System of the Combat Operations Research Group (CORG) wargaming facility. The system provides a quick and simple means for display, transmission, and storage of wargaming information. Large glass panels are stationed in from of eight overhead projectors. When a transparent acetate is placed on a projector, a magnified image appears on the rear surface of the Lenscreen. During a war game, information is generated on the opposite, or front, side of the Lenscreen by game players or controllers. After the display has been completed, the panel is moved along a monorail track to a camera station where the information on the Lenscreen is recorded using Xerographic photography. (Author)
