A DIGITAL COMPUTER MECHANIZATION OF TWO TECHNIQUES FOR THE NUMERICAL SOLUTION OF ORDINARY DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS.

Abstract

A digital computer mechanization of two numerical methods for the integration of first order ordinary differential equations is discussed in this report. The Runge-Kutta numerical integration technique is described and the logic of its use in a program is illustrated. Hamming's method of numerical integration is similarly described, and justification for its use in particular types of computer programs is given. (Author)
