SOIL TESTING

Abstract

The various tests that may be used to determine the properties of soil have been discussed. The results of these tests will indicate the suitability of a site and the various design alternatives for a foundation. It is still necessary, however, to evaluate the test results, for the properties of soil are influenced by both the geological and climatic conditions on the site.
