HEAT TRANSFER AT BUILDING SURFACES.

Abstract

The report discusses the various modes of heat transfer that occur at the surfaces of buildings, pointing out the complications that must be considered in some cases. In an attempt to reduce abstractions to a minimum, the following discussion deals with a specific example - the heat flow through a double-glazed window - but the points about heat exchange at a surface or across an air space are valid for walls and roofs too.
