EXPERIENCE IN THE SYSTEMATIZATION OF THE CATEGORIES AND LAWS OF EPIDEMIOLOGY. REPORT I. CATEGORIES OF EPIDEMIOLOGY,

Abstract

Throughout the course of its history, epidemiology has accumulated numerous theoretical and practical data which are subject to regulation and systematization. One of the forms of theoretical generalization are the categories and laws of epidemiology. They are logical definitions, objectively reflecting existing features and properties, the content and relation of epidemiological phenomena, and revealing the substance of the epidemic process. These are structural elements, which are the supporting points in the process of perception. If they are united into a common logical system they become the foundation of epidemiological theory.
