DEVELOPMENT OF THERMALLY INDUCED INITIAL DISPLACEMENT MATRICES FOR THE FUSELAGE ANALYSIS PROGRAM,

Abstract

In preparation for the development of thermal capabilities into the fuselage analysis program, FUSARG, the thermal displacement column or H matrix for the idealized elements of this program were developed. The elements under consideration were the: (1) composite frame, (2) longitudinal effective flange, and (3) skin shear panel. The equations for the determination of stresses and deflection for a structure subjected to loads, temperature strains, and cutouts were developed. (Author)
