AN ORBITAL PARAMETER ERROR ANALYSIS OF A SINGLE IMPULSIVE ORBITAL MANEUVER.

Abstract

An error analysis is formulated to be used to determine the accuracy with which an orbit can be achieved with a single corrective impulse. This analysis can be used to determine the effects of uncertainties in navigation and maneuver implementation on various parameters of the final orbit. The equations which are derived in the analysis are programmed for the CDC 6000 series digital computers so that numerical results may be obtained more easily. This program is called Program OPERA.
