WAVES IN FERROMAGNETIC METALS.

Abstract

A research summary of the Solid State Magnetics Group activities is given. Included is a listing of the personnel associated with this grant and a listing of the technical talks, theses, and publications resulting from this grant. Major achievements include the understanding of the spin wave dispersion in the ferromagnetic fcc metals, the thermodynamic implications of the spin wave dispersion and the first direct observation of spin waves in Pd-Fe.
