INVESTIGATION OF CS2O-PHOTOCATHODES (TYPE S 1).

Abstract

The report discusses four subjects: Preparation of S1 layers having a thermal emission of 10 to the -15th power A/sq cm and a photosensitivity of 0.001 mA/mW at 900 nm in image converters; investigation of the quantitative composition of (Rb, Cs) oxide cathodes and the reason for their instability; gravimetric investigation of the quantitative composition of Cs2O-cathodes and measurements to determine their emission mechanism; preparation of screens using a new method for implantation of the phosphor.
