CONDUCTANCE AND ELECTROCHEMICAL BEHAVIOR OF M-DINITROBENZENE IN LIQUID AMMONIA SOLUTIONS,

Abstract

Two studies of m-DNB in liquid ammonia solution are reported. The first study was concerned with the conductance behavior of m-DNB in liquid ammonia over a range of temperatures and concentrations. The second study deals with the determination of the overall number of electrons transferred in the reduction of m-DNB in NH4NO3-NH3 solutions. Included as part of this study was the determination of the diffusion coefficient of m-DNB in NH4NO3-NH3 solutions. Two independent electrochemical techniques were employed to obtain the overall number of electrons. (Author)
