A CONTROLLED CHANGE OF MICROORGANIC CHARACTERISTICS. PART I. SYNOPSIS OF FOREIGN LITERATURE,

Abstract

Conforming with data of a majority of the researchers, the phenomenon of transformation is repeated with an extraordinary regularity, which allows it to be utilized as a test during study of the various factors in the reaction of transformation. However, this regularity of development of the transforming activeness of DNA is possible only during the presence of susceptible cells, and during the maintenance of certain conditions of the medium. The role of these factors is explained in the second part of this report. (Author)
