HISTOLOGICALLY COMPARATIVE CHARACTERISTICS OF AUTUMN ENCEPHALITIS OF THE PRIMORYA AND JAPANESE ENCEPHALITIS,

Abstract

In the last ten years the German authors tried to regard numerous sporadical cases, and sometimes small outbreaks of encephalitis in Germany, as Japanese encephalitis. However, the pathologoanatomical variations do not give basis to compare these panencephalitides with Japanese encephalitis. All the data set forth lead the authors to judge it as an American encephalitis. However, a final decision of this question is possible only through a joint complex study of this problem by clinicists, virologists, morphologists. Only by this path, receiving an expansive propagation in the USSR can tell how expansively the encephalitides, B type, are propagated in the world. (Author)
