ON THE TRANSITION FROM RECTANGULAR SPACE COORDINATES TO GEODETIC COORDINATES (O PEREKHODE OT PROSTRANSTVENNYKH PRYAMOUGOLNYKH KOORDINAT K GEODEZICHESKIM),

Abstract

It is sometimes necessary to make a transition from the geodetic coordinates to the rectangular space coordinates and vice versa. Direct transition can be made simply by formulas, but inverse transition in all existing methods is made either by the method of successive approximations, or by the method of differential corrections. The translation is a mathematical solution to this problem. (Author)
