LARGE PARTICLES IN CLOUDS (KRUPNYE CHASTITSY V OBLAKAKH),
Abstract
The article presents measurement data on the concentration and size spectra of particles carried out by means of a special instrument which makes it possible to 'scan' clouds at a rate of several cubic meters per minute. At the same time, the instrument records the threshold sizes of droplets of 150, 250, 450 and 800 microns (at high amplification) and 410, 730, 1430, and 2400 microns (at low amplification). (Author)
