VARIANCE TRANSFORMATION,

Abstract

Suppose that the variances of the Cartesian position tracking data of a vehicle for a given point on the earth's surface are known. Suppose further that a second point on the earth's surface from which the vehicle is accessible is given. In the text a method for computing the variances at the second point in terms of the variances at the first point is derived. (Author)
