CORRELATION USING FAST FOURIER TRANSFORMS,

Abstract

The 'fast' Fourier transform facilitates signal analysis by allowing the efficient computation of time series transforms. In this work, definitions, properties, and computational aspects of the fast Fourier transform are discussed. Examples are presented describing the use of the 'fast' Fourier transform for computation of correlation functions and power spectra for random signals and application to digital detector and receiver design.
