SPOT SIZE AND BEAM PARAMETERS IN FUNDAMENTAL MODE LASER BEAMS,

Abstract

Basic relationships between some laser beam parameters and three definitions of fundamental mode laser beam radius are described and tabulated. Two important laser parameters in laser dosimetry are percentage of beam power contained within a radius r, and the ratio of peak to average power density over the same region. (Author)
