AN INVESTIGATION OF F2 REGION IONOSPHERIC BEHAVIOR BY COMPUTER METHODS.

Abstract

This is an investigation of the solution of the continuity equation modeled for the F2 region of the ionosphere. Since a numerical method is used to obtain the solution on a digital computer, variations of the model and their effects on the solution for electron densities are all investigated. Several current suggestions for explanations of some of the ionospheric anomalies are studied in this manner. (Author)
