FREE OSCILLATIONS OF RECTANGULAR PLATES OF VARIABLE THICKNESS WITH ASYMMETRICAL BOUNDARY CONDITIONS (VILNI KOLYVANNYA PRYAMOKUTNYKH PLASTYN ZMINNOII TOVSHCHYNY PRI NESYMETRYCHNYKH GRANYCHNYKH UMOVAKH),

Abstract

This article attempts to extend an analysis of rectangular plates with asymmetrical boundary conditions, the thickness of which varies in one direction. The problem is treated as a linear one. The plate material is considered to be elastically isotropic. The analysis of dynamic loading of plates is considered as one of the most important steps in the design of parts in present-day machine construction. A promising method of shell analysis based on the variational principle has been stated.
