DEVELOPMENT OF A THREE-AXIS LONG-PERIOD SEISMOGRAPH

Abstract

Development of a three-component long-period borehole seismometer of small diameter /5-1/2 inches O.D./ is described. The feasibility of the magnetic suspension principle has been demonstrated and several instruments were constructed and tested in the laboratory.
