THE DENSITY-GRADIENT COLUMN AS A TOOL FOR MEASURING SEA WATER DENSITY.

Abstract

The possibility of using the density-gradient technique for determining the density of sea water is examined. In this method a water-drop sample falls through a column of immiscible liquid having a vertical density gradient, and the rest position of the drop is noted. Experiments to test the feasibility of the method are noted. (Author)
