DOPPLER-SHIFT CURRENT METER SIGNALS AND THE DROP-OUT PROBLEM.

Abstract

The output signal from the doppler-shift current meter is derived theoretically from results established rigorously for reverberation theory. The derivation identifies a possible cause of the drop-out (signal loss) encountered in doppler-shift current meter records. Some possible methods of dealing with the problems arising from drop-out are suggested. (Author)
