A METHOD FOR PRODUCING (O-CARBOXYBENZYL) FERROCENE DERIVATIVES,

Abstract

A patent has been issued for a method for preparing (O-carboxybenzyl) ferrocene derivatives suitable for the synthesis of ferrocene dyes. The method involves the reaction of (O-carboxybenzyl) ferrocene or its derivatives with PCl3 in nitrogen at about 60C.
