Abstract

The report summarizes the activities in 'Automatic Navigation' under Air Force Office of Scientific Research Contract F44620-68-C-0023 during the period 1 September 1967 through 1 September 1968. It is in the general field of control theory emphasizing estimation, including application to automatic navigation. Certain of the special interests are: non-stationary, non-linear, and sub-optimal aspects. Approaches include Kalman filter theory, graph theory, invariant imbedding, Pontryagin optimization, differential game theory, modern stability theory, distribution theory, etc. (Author)
