PSYCHOPHYSICAL RELATIONS IN ADAPTION PROCESSES.

Abstract

The present project grew out of our previous work with direct scaling methods, of which we have considerable experience both methodologically and as far as applications to various problems in perception are concerned. The basic idea was to apply such methods to problems of adaptation and related processes. It has been possible to follow the plan in all essential respects. The broad, inter-modal approach has been maintained throughout the work, and principles of apparently wide inter-modal generality have been found. (Author)
