THE INTERACTION OF TWO FREQUENCY-MODULATED OSCILLATORS,

Abstract

The interaction effects of two frequency modulated oscillators are derived and justified with numerous experimental waveforms. A step-by-step word and picture explanation is presented--starting from the interference waveform of a CW signal coupled to a compliant CW oscillator and ending with the interaction signature of two coupled frequency modulated oscillators. It is shown that the interaction signature for two frequency modulated oscillators can be easily obtained from knowledge of the lock-in pattern of the two when unmodulated, by using a simple graphical procedure.
