NUMERICAL CONTROL.

Abstract

Various facets of numerical control technology are discussed in this report. Studies were made on the state-of-the-art and the developments of second generation machine tools. Particular emphasis was placed on the qualification testing and final acceptance of the McKay Drilling and Counterboring machine, the numerical control fabrication of test panels using newly developed APT (Automatic Programmed Tools) routines, and evaluation studies on numerical control systems for machine tool acquisition.
