FREE FIELD INPUT DATA FORMATTING SCHEME.

Abstract

A free field data formatting scheme is submitted as a tool for storing a maximum data volume in limited computer memory reserves. Some applications to the formatting of ocean station data are provided as examples of technique. The advantages and disadvantages of this formatting scheme are discussed. (Author)
