EFFECT OF DIFFERENT TEMPERATURES ON VIRUSES OF THE SMALL POX GROUP IN TISSUE CULTURES,

Abstract

It has been established that there are critical temperatures above which no cytopathological action of smallpox and parasmallpox viruses manifest themselves in a tissue culture of chick fibroplasts. The difference in critical temperatures for smallpox and parasmallpox viruses on the one hand and vaccine and cowpox viruses on the other makes it possible to differentiate them. (Author)
