VAPOR JOINING OF REFRACTORY METALS,

Abstract

The method adopted and referred to as 'Vapor Joining' involved the relatively low temperature decomposition of volatile metal compounds to form a fillet identical in composition to the basis metal. The report describes; Specimen Preparation, Joining Procedure, Heat Treatment of the Specimen, and Evaluation of Bonded Specimens, prior to a discussion on test results. (Author)
