PRECISION HOLE FABRICATION.

Abstract

The report describes the various reasons for, and the apparent causes of, rejection of production parts and assemblies due to faulty hole fabrication. The percentage estimates used are based on authoritative data on file in the Quality Control section and on questionnaires distributed to supervision in the hole fabricating and inspection departments. The report contains suggestions for immediate alleviation of the problem through correct application of existing hole fabricating methods and equipment. Implementation results will determine if evaluation of new methods and equipment is necessary for further improvements. (Author)
