MEASUREMENT OF THE ABSORPTION COEFFICIENT OF HYDROSOLS.

Abstract

A theoretical method is described for the measurement of the optical volume absorption coefficient of natural bodies of water using the divergence of the vector irradiance field. Laboratory equipment has been constructed for the evaluation of the feasibility of using the method. The laboratory equipment is described and preliminary data is shown. (Author)
